Warehouse Supervisor -Southern Suburbs

 

One of our clients based in the Southern Suburbs , NPC company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their manufacturing company.The main functions of the Warehouse Supervisor involves the effective coordination of the Company’s stock holding (raw materials, consumables, components, unfinished & finished goods) and procurement between suppliers, stores, and manufacturers, in liaison with the procurement officer within the requirements of the Company.

 

The successful candidate must have

Grade 12 (with high level of numeracy)

A Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage but not essential : Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management

Experience in an engineering, manufacturing & production environment

Stores supply chain management work experience

Ability to conceptualise, develop and implement part supply chain policies & procedures that meet company objectives

Knowledge of long forecast imports

Knowledge of import/export procedures

The individual will need to be able to engage and manage multiple stakeholders

Strong admin skills with exceptional attention to detail

MS office (good working knowledge of Excel)

Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks

Ability to think analytically & laterally within the stores & manufacturing processes

An assertive, strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Strong planning, organising, co-ordinating & problem solving abilities

Knowledge of working with Bills of Materials (BOM)

Ability to think on one’s feet and multi-task

Flexible and willing to work longer hours if required

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Catalogue stock levels – Evaluate, set & maintain adequate stock levels through the Quickbooks system

Manage stores stock counts, process variances

Monthly SOH valuations per Bulk Store

Report Stock variances monthly & YTD

Report stock management interventions

Kick-off ad hoc stock variance prevention measures

Report and prevent all “stock-outs”

Initiate stock replenishment orders for local and imported stock/part items

Process ad hoc on request stock adjustments during the month

Process stock write-off/scrapping transaction

Process stock recovery/salvage transactions to match existing BOM requirements

Work closely with Factory Manager

Stores housekeeping – Audit stores housekeeping disciplines and processes & establish high level of organisation in stores & prevent clutter in stores, maintain lean stock holding

Service delivery – Provide excellent stores service to other divisions through accurate and effective processing of stock requests
