A Financial Institituon in Gauteng is looking for a Tester (Manager) for a 2 year contract
The Test Manager role is tasked with the overall responsibility for the test effort's success. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.
The job responsibilities include:
Formulation and implementation of Software Testing strategies
Assist with or work together with the relevant technical authorities to identify and formulate testing requirements
Preparation and review of test schedules
Preparation and review of test reports
Formulation of communication plan including testing meetings and workshop.
Coordination of all testing activities during every stage of the test process.
Monitor testing progress according to plan and escalate where testing parties are not on course to achieve the deadlines.
Manage incidents across all involved parties and timeously escalate any which have exceeded their agreed SLA.
Raise and work together with the industry technical work groups to resolve specification documentation related incidents
Identify and communicate risk raised during testing
Prepare and facilitate the testing sign-off process.
The essential skills include:
Advanced knowledge of software testing theories and practices
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and power point
Working across diverse projects
Working with diverse stakeholder groups
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in written and spoken English
The desired skills include:
Knowledge of the South African national payment systems.
