Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• On-site repairing of varying problems on port equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance on port equipment
• Providing exceptional customer service work and managing workloads independently
• Troubleshooting,assembling,disassembling and testing components
• Adhering to scheduled servicing of different makes of equipment
• Performing initial visual inspections as well as pre-delivery inspections
• Reconditioning of various makes of equipment
• Diagnosing, Trouble-shooting and repairing of existing faults
• Overseeing work done by assistant technicians
• Adhering to deadlines and targets
• Handling related administration tasks
• Ensuring safety is adhered to in all tasks

 

Educational Requirements

• Mechanical qualification or similar

Other Requirements

 

• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including designs,uses,repair and maintenance
• Customer and personal service knowledge of principles and processes, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Safety knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations
• Driver’s license
• At least 5 years working experience
