Description

 

A vacancy exists for a Stores Assistant based at Life Wilgers, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for will contribute to the effective management of stock in Pharmacy as well as the rest of the hospital.

 

Critical Outputs

Receiving and packing of stock received.

Assist with & manage stock distribution to units through auto transfers.

Assist with cycle counts and stock takes in Pharmacy and in the wards

Maintain item codes for the wards and Pharmacy Effective utilisation of reports to manage stock.

Management of dead stock in Pharmacy and wards.

Assist with stock management related to expiry dates, damaged stock, stock rotation and all ad hoc activities.

Assist with stock takes in the pharmacy and hospital.

Assist with general clerical / admin duties in the Pharmacy

 

Requirements

 

Grade 12 National Senior Certificate

Stock management experience within a LHC Hospital is essential

Be available to work extra hours when needed

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Other important competencies are partnership building, customer orientation and willingness to be multi skilled

Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

Computer literacy with knowledge of the iMeds and impilo billing and stock control systems is essentia
