Job Description:

 

  • Validate all security controls when accepting a delivery

 

  • Accurately check and validate high value stock and buyouts against purchase order and delivery documentation, in the presence of delivery staff.

 

  • Ensure queries with high value items and external vendors with regards to short deliveries, missing invoices, incorrect prices, and damaged goods are resolved before driver leaves.

 

  • Managing credit returns and releasing of back orders relating to transfer orders

 

  • Assist with account queries relating to stock returns and credits

 

  • Checking a range of stock characteristics ensuring quality and quantity of stock received.

 

  • Re-order stock from external vendors and bulk store/branches in accordance with organisation policy and procedure (Supporting other retail outlets in the EC region)

 

  • Continuously monitor levels of stock items

 

  • Liaise with all staff regarding stock.

 

  • Run daily/weekly/monthly stock management reports.

 

  • Liaise with other branches when stock is not available at bulk store.

 

  • Ordering and receiving of buyouts as per organisation policy and procedure.

 

  • Ordering and receiving of seasonal or promotional stock as per organisation policy and procedure.

 

  • Resolve queries promptly and as per organisation policy and procedure.

 

  • Follow up outstanding transactions or documentation - Transfer orders

 

  • Monitor daily transactions

 

  • Accurately filing all documents that require filing in the department

 

  • Analysing stock journals and stock deficiencies for branch

 

  • Weekly clearing of in-transit stock items between branches

 

  • Investigate Line exception reports for retail store

 

  • Assist branch with stock take investigations.

 

  • Capturing stock count information on system.

 

  • Investigate and resolve stock deficiencies daily.

 

  • Process all stock related journals daily

 

  • Resolve queries promptly and as per organisation policy and procedure.

 

  • Adhere to all receiving related processes

 

  • Ensure high value items are stored in a secure location.

 

  • Daily cycle counts and investigating stock discrepancies

 

  • Matric and must be proficient in excel

 

  • 2 x years’ experience in a similar role

 

  • ERP / WMS knowledge and experience

 

  • Good written and verbal skills

 

  • Clean criminal record and good credit record

 

  • Must be fully vaccinated

 

  • Stock and stock count experience
