MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

To provide strategic direction and manage the Supply Chain

Management functional areas to ensure compliance with SCM

prescripts, policies and procurement.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

 

 Strategy, policy and procedure development

 Management of SCM functional areas

 Bid Committees management

 Management Reporting

 Risk and Audit Management

 Financial Management

 People Management

 

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

 

 Matric (NQF Level 4) plus Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or Post

Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain/Financial Management

 Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) as added advantage

 

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

 

 8 - 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or

Financial Management field of which 5 years must have been

in management level

Able to demonstrate:

 Comprehensive knowledge of public sector SCM legislative

environment

 Comprehensive knowledge of SCM policy and procedures,

PFMA, PPPFA, National Treasury Regulations, GRAP and BBBEE

amended Codes of Good Practice and all other applicable

legislations

 Knowledge of King III Report on Corporate Governance

 Knowledge of Risk Management
