An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accounts Clerk position at Life Wilgers Hospital. This position will report directly to the Financial Accountant.
Managing the creditors: preparing and capturing of requisitions, orders and payments.
Perform monthly reconciliations on creditors.
Resolving creditors and debtors account queries.
Perform daily banking and cashbook
Manage the Accounts Receivable sub-system (Doctors rental and ad hoc charges).
Reconciling the nursing agency accounts on a daily basis ad liaising with nursing management.
Assisting the accounting hub with clearing of reconciling items.
Maintaining a filing system for creditors. Updating and management of the contracts register.
Ensure healthy internal control environment.
Prepare accurate and complete accruals at month-end.
Manage the capital expenditure reporting.
Meet month end deadlines.
Accurate financial processing.
Comply with Statutory Requirements and adhere to company protocols and corporate governance.
Preparation of monthly management reports.
Preparation of statutory boardpacks and distribution.
Taking and typing of minutes of meetings.
Assisting in the preparation of annual financial budgets based on company guidelines.
Assisting the Finance and Administration Manager with ad-hoc tasks
A relevant qualification and minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in accounting.
Understanding of the financial process up to trial balance level, ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Honesty, trustworthy and willing to work overtime. Deadline driven.
Proficient in Ms Office, Ms Excel
Experience in SAP
Attention to detail.
Ability work under pressure.
Good communication skills
Ability to resolve queries.
