In this era when humankind is facing many challenges that seek to disrupt communities, cultures and families threatening the very foundations of society, leading to anxiety, anger, fear, despair, and uncertainty, the GBR seeks a leader with the requisite skills set, experience and qualifications to develop new programs and coordinate existing programs that were designed to strengthen elements of society leading to stronger morals, ethics and values. GBR already has programs to reinstate and strengthen mutual respect, tolerance, good-neighbourliness, family unity, solidarity of communities, and good citizenship through their International Summits, Congresses, Concerts, Gala Events, Youth Camps, Media Platforms, Retreats, International & Local Intercessional Sessions and Panel Discussions.

As part of a concerted and deliberate effort to fast-track its outreach to more countries of the globe, GBR seeks a dynamic team-player who will work with Strategic Partners, Religious Bodies, and Communities to develop new programs and projects that are relevant, effective, and impactful. Working with other team-members in cross-cutting thematic areas, this position requires an individual that is grounded upon strong Christian precepts, is a visionary, resourceful, and can provide the vision, structure, and coordination necessary to develop and execute a holistic program of spiritual development for children, youth, and adults.

 

Key Responsibilities

Development of learning material; learning facilitation; planning and organising; training needs analysis; project management; presentation skills; budgeting and financial management, administration, and people management.

 

To plan, coordinate and deliver Christian teaching, learning and development activities with a key focus on the spiritual needs of people across the globe.

 

To develop funding proposals, design operating plans, coordinate and consolidate programs catering to needs of the different regions and individual countries.

 

To develop and implement an annual activity calendar in line with budget and outreach targets to build organisational outreach and grow the organisation’s footprint.

 

Delivery of events and activities to achieve the required outcomes and strategic objectives.

 

To ensure coordination, completion, and submission of programs for maximum impact within the available resources.

 

Conduct an annual needs assessment to identify interest areas and opportunities for spiritual growth, in cooperation with  Senior Management.

 

To manage resources to deliver the operating plan and business needs timeously.

 

Requirements

A sincere faith in God and a commitment to Christian faith and service, including knowledge of scripture and an understanding of the Bible’s great thematic.

 

Formal training or equivalent experience with Christian education and faith development.

 

Flexibility to work with the diversity of theological concepts and faith backgrounds.

 

Passion for inspiring children, youth, adults, team ministry, and promoting volunteerism.

 

Strong organizational and leadership skills including delegation and group facilitation.

 

Strong writing, public communication, and computer skills.

 

A degree in Theology, Sociology, Community development or similar qualification.

 

7-10 years Developmental generalist experience

 

Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.

 

Experience in organisational development and change

 

Stakeholder liaison

 

Provide consultation, support, and counselling.

 

Programme planning

 

Work collaboratively with teams and subject matter experts.

 

Material and content development.
