About the Job
The incumbent will be a key player within a young, dynamic, and entrepreneurial team that manages numerous projects at the centre of SEAD’s effort to illuminate the positive and compelling roles of SEAD’s Public Health Advisors (currently focused on CLI, POCT, eLabs and Pharmacy interventions) in the public health sphere.
Success in this new position will require a combination of strategic, programmatic, analytic, partnership-building and communications skills. You will collaborate across internal as well as external stakeholders to inform an evidence-based implementation frameworks as well as a multi-year plan to advance progress in the fight against HIV and TB.
Facilitate and contribute to development objectives and implement impact assessment strategy for SEAD Health Programmes.
Find and prioritize areas of focus for rigorous assessment of impact; confirm with internal and external stakeholders.
Decide measuring and evaluation needs for SEAD; develop plan and execute.
Research and monitor equivalent studies in parallel vectors, ensuring that SEAD is aware of evolving standards and specific referenced impact studies in the HIV and TB Space.
Support Field-based teams to conduct studies that not only result in important impact findings but also strengthen relationships and benefits from partnering with the division.
Guide and support development of workplans, protocols and timelines
Facilitate oversight of implementation and reporting.
Generate relevant insights from data.
Together with key stakeholders, develop a plan to design and execute a health program, common data collection framework, and body of research to further the understanding of HIV and TB.
Collaboratively develop and/or help refine various approaches to treatment and prevention of HIV and TB by players active in this field; develop multi-year plans, set up milestones, ensure meaningful M&E work is incorporated, implementation is timely and complete, and the outcomes are achieved and leveraged.
Strong experience in project management and M&E, including study design and analysis; experience in HIV and TB preferred
Subject matter experience in health– particularly in the developing world – preferred.
Familiarity with vocabulary, leading players and constructs of public health and development
Ability to analyse complex multi-faceted programmes/ projects.
Effective communicator across all levels
Strong indirect people and project management skills
Experience building and improving operational systems.
Excellent writing and communications skills; well-spoken and able to represent SEAD’s impact story appropriately with internal and external partners, researchers, reviewers, collaborators and funders.
Ambitious and enthusiastic; desirous of growing the community of people working together to stop HIV/TB and improving health outcomes.
Graduate degree (MPH, social sciences, international studies, finance, statistics, or equivalents) preferred.
5-10 year of postgraduate work experience in NGO, government and/or corporation or private foundation environments
Tech savvy, with ability to learn new software swiftly.
