Minimum Requirements

 

Qualification(s):

  • Relevant Degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering or Construction management
  • Management qualification (MDP, MAP etc.) will be an added advantage

 

Experience:

  • At least 5 years in a management role related to Construction projects with operational experience and background,
  • Should be able to show Programming and Planning ability
  • Must have experience in managing turnover / demonstrate project Profitability

Skills and Competencies

Skills:

  • Strong financial and technical skills relevant to industry
  • Analytic , systematic, logical and process thinking
  • Strong leadership skills (plan direct, control and implement)
  • Strong management and organizational skills with ability to manage conflict
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with management
  • Ability to write reports (clear and unambiguous written Verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Ability to negotiate, facilitate and facilitate interactions with the employees, clients and third party
  • Computer Skills (MS Professional, Outlook, SAP etc)

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Technical knowledge and experience within Electrical/Civil, and or construction industry
  • Legislative acts (basic condition of employment Act, Labour relations Act, Employment Equity Act, skills development Act, OHSA, PFMA and Corporate Governance, Construction Regulations and Compensation for Occupational Injuries & diseases’ etc
