JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a process commissioning engineer to go and commission a copper flotation concentrator in South Africa for 3 to 6 months. You need to be an experienced commissioning engineer who is able and willing to work and live in Durban for 3 to 6 months, starting in the next few weeks. You need to have strong commissioning experience in a base metal concentrator and understand milling, flotation, and reagents plants very well.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 to 20 years in EPCM environment with base metal concentrator experience and understands milling, flotation, and reagents plants very well and understands all aspects of process design and engineering
- Preferably 4 years + experience on a plant with one of the large mining companies in a production/project environment
- Rest of experience as a process design and commissioning engineer with an EPCM company in the PGM, Base Metals, and Chrome Concentrator environment
- Qualifications: Process/Chemical Engineer (BTech/BEng/BSc), preferably with ECSA registration
Skills:
PFD’s, mass balance, MEL, P&ID’s, Process design criteria, Control Philosophies, plant audits, technical report writing, pipe sizing and specification, datasheets, specifications, test work analysis, technical adjudications, commissioning. We are looking for a more senior resource that has extensive commissioning experience, preferably on Base Metal Flotation Concentrators and in Africa.
