A vacancy exists for a Porter at Life Wilgers Hospital, based in Pretoria, reporting to the Services Co-ordinator.

 

Critical Outputs

Transporting patients from reception, to and from unit’s, doctors rooms, x-rays, A&E, labs etc. in a safe, professional and friendly manner

Assisting with discharging of patients

Maintaining and cleaning wheelchairs and other equipment

Deliver correspondence to and from consulting rooms, unit’s, x-rays, labs, pharmacy etc.

Flex into other areas when necessary/ assisting where necessary e.g. A&E

 

Requirements

 

Matric or equivalent

Excellent communication skills. English is essential.

Physically fit, possess physical strength for lifting patients, drive and energy

Experience in working in customer service/dealing with customers

Experience in working in healthcare will be an advantage

Planning and organizing skills

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Able to work in a team

Prepared to work day shift, night shift, weekends and public holidays
