A vacancy exists for a Payroll Administrator in the HR Back Office reporting to the Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure payroll administration is completed efficiently and accurately in line with Governance processes in order to achieve Company strategic objectives
Critical Outputs
Review payroll documentation for completeness and ensure LHC standards and practices are adhered to.
Perform accurate and efficient payroll processing.
Escalate non-compliance where appropriate.
Review audit checklists received from payroll specialists and report back on anomalies.
Conduct self-audits and assist with internal and external audits.
Scan documentation into Digilife monthly.
Plan workload according to set deadlines.
Review relevant query on LifeLink and assist FPA or line managers with appropriate resolution in line with LHC standards and practices.
Effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through participating in formal and informal communication sessions.
Effective governance.
Identify gaps and implement remedial action, including escalation where necessary.
Support the HR systems team with Kronos related queries.
Assist in special projects as requested by management
Requirements
Relevant payroll qualification with 3 to 5 years’ experience within a large (5000+) corporate payroll environment will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge and background of Educos/Vision.
Basic knowledge of the Kronos system (Time and attendance) will be an advantage.
Exposure to HR systems within large corporate environment.
Basic knowledge of SA tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft office will be required.
Excellent communication skills.
Own transport will be an advantage.
Must have payroll experience – not negotiable.
Must be fully vaccinated for Covid - 19
