About the Job

 

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the set-up of the organisation as well as day to day office, logistics and personnel management, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and productively.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Finding and setting up the physical office when it is possible to move from remote to office-based work

 

Setting up meetings, organising travel, managing IT and other service providers, assisting with staff performance assessments and recruitment

 

Management of the general office and other operational functions

 

Setting up an annual gala event

 

Management of the HR requirements including setting up the necessary systems, policies, procedures etc.

 

Working closely with a financial manager on cost control, budgeting, reporting, consultant contracts etc.

 

Requirements

Strong, tough, self-driven manager with at least 5 years at a senior operations level

 

Ability to focus on detail and implement effectively

 

Experience setting up and running an organisation at an operational level

 

Must share the vision of the organisation i.e. believe in free expression for all

 

Be comfortable in a non-partisan ethos
