To contribute to teaching and learning in the field of Photography, to assist with research related
activities, and to take part in other Departmental support activities as assigned by the HOD.
Key Performance Areas include but not limited to:
Teach and assess Photography students at Diploma level for the subjects/modules in the area of
Improve on the current content of the teaching material for the subjects/modules in the area of
Photography inline with the industry trends.
Influence the development, maintenance and control in field of specialisation
Liaise with Industry including consultation work/collaborative research
Conduct student and academic administration and reporting duties in line with
responsibility (including studentsbehaviour, attitude and attendance)
Manage the entire assessment chain for a subject presented in the Diploma in Photography.
This includes: Identifying the appropriate moderator for the subjects/modules in line with the
University policy, and standards within the University Policies, Guidelines and Timelines.
Qualification and Experience:
Masters’ degree in Photography with a minimum pass mark of 70%
Applicants must be South African citizens who are less than 40 years of age
Minimum of one year industrial or teaching experience in the relevant field of Photography
Skills and Competencies:
Communication skills (Verbal and written)
Quality control/ Maintenance procedures
Professional judgement demonstrated in work place application
