Maintenance Manager with 3+ years experience working in Hotel Relevant qualifications needed.


Lilian Lofts in Fordsburg is searching for a Facilities manager. This role requires an ability to perform the physical repair works as well as mange subcontractors as appropriate or as determined by the Facilities manager.


Main Job functions:


General property repairs and maintenance in its widest form, encompassing carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, paintwork, tiling and minor paving and bricklaying works.


Attend to first call investigations and emergency repair issues.


Co-ordinate and inspect work by subcontractors.


Deal with meter reading where necessary.




Primarily Being Accountable for: As the maintenance supervisor the responsibilities are extensive and varied, in light of this the person will be required to have the ability to work independently and without constant supervision.


Building Maintenance


Ensure that buildings are maintained to a high standard


Ensure that preventative maintenance is carried out on a regular basis.


Complete all tasks internally to a high standard.


Ensure that all repairs and other work carried out by contractors is completed on time and successfully.


Inspection of contractors work to confirm completion and a satisfactory standard of work carried out on every single job.


Monitoring of contractors and work progress to be done at all times.


Signing off of work done to be completed in a diligent manner.




Build up a reputable base of contractors who are reliable and able to complete the work effectively to a high standard and on time.


Obtaining relevant authority to sign off for all jobs.


Weekly reviews of all outstanding jobs.


Organizational Effectiveness.


Minimum requirements.


3 years experience in a similar role.




General property repairs and maintenance in its widest form, encompassing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, paintwork, tiling, masonry and paving and bricklaying works.


Liaison with clients and service providers when deemed necessary, preparation of all relevant admin documentation required in the daily maintenance operations of the business thereby satisfying the client base.
