The Faculty of ICT requires the services of Part-time lecturers at eMalahleni Campus for the academic period S1 of 2022.

 

Key performance areas/Core functions:

 

             To provide remedial lecturing for the extended curriculum provision programme in the areas of Computational Mathematics and Programming in line with the Faculty’s teaching strategy.

             Other lecturing duties e.g. invigilating, marking scripts, processing marks on learning management system and ITS, assess/moderate and learning material development.

             Attend activities of the Faculty e.g. meetings, mentorship, tutorship, workshops, events, or any task that may be assigned by the Academic Manager.

             Participate in the research activities/projects of the Faculty.

             Establish/participate in ICT related community engagement projects.

             Other relevant duties as required by the academic manager e.g. curriculum review and development, module coordination and content development.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

1. Academic qualifications:

             Relevant Masters/BTech/Hons degree in the field of computing or relevant master’s qualification in the computing field.

             Knowledge in high level programming languages and application of mathematics.

             Knowledge of Java programming language and platforms is highly preferred.

             A qualification in education will be a strong recommendation.

1. Experience:

             At least 1-year teaching experience in mathematics and programming in the ICT foundation level.

             Industry experience in the field of software development will be a recommendation.
