The Faculty of ICT requires the services of Part-time lecturers at eMalahleni Campus for the academic period S1 of 2022.
Key performance areas/Core functions:
To provide remedial lecturing for the extended curriculum provision programme in the areas of Computational Mathematics and Programming in line with the Faculty’s teaching strategy.
Other lecturing duties e.g. invigilating, marking scripts, processing marks on learning management system and ITS, assess/moderate and learning material development.
Attend activities of the Faculty e.g. meetings, mentorship, tutorship, workshops, events, or any task that may be assigned by the Academic Manager.
Participate in the research activities/projects of the Faculty.
Establish/participate in ICT related community engagement projects.
Other relevant duties as required by the academic manager e.g. curriculum review and development, module coordination and content development.
Minimum requirements:
- Academic qualifications:
Relevant Masters/BTech/Hons degree in the field of computing or relevant master’s qualification in the computing field.
Knowledge in high level programming languages and application of mathematics.
Knowledge of Java programming language and platforms is highly preferred.
A qualification in education will be a strong recommendation.
- Experience:
At least 1-year teaching experience in mathematics and programming in the ICT foundation level.
Industry experience in the field of software development will be a recommendation.
