Purpose:

You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. The goal is to guide the company towards profitability and long-term success to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives as well as maintaining the financial health of the organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce: Financial Management OR Accounting (Required).

BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.

CIMA/ SAIPA or newly qualified CA(SA) (Recommended).

CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.

 

Minimum Experience:

Financial Management in a Commercial Operation, Operational 5 years.

Financial Management in a Commercial Operation, Managerial 2 year.

Experience in a similar industry (Advantageous).

5-10 years post article experience.

 

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:

 

 

Analysing business

 

Quarterly forecasts half year

 

Monthly reporting: Hi GPS & Hi Tree

 

Annual budgets

 

Commercial (Credit Limits)

 

Sale deals

 

VAT

 

TAX

 

Provision management

 

Governance and Training

 

Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks

 

Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems

 

Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system

 

Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)

 

Oversee all audit and internal control operations

 

Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors

 

Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis

 

Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives

 

Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
