The Directorate: Buildings and Estates, Institutional Support has Eight (8) permanent position of Grounds Keepers based at Ga-Rankuwa Campus.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

Qualification (Minimum)

 

  • NQF level 1
  • General Education and Training (Grad 9/ ABET Level 4 National Certificate)

.

 

Experience

 

  • 1- 2 years of experience.

 

Core Functions

  • Maintaining Grounds: Remove weeds, undergrowth and debris from TUT grounds and landscaping areas.
  • Mow and trim lawn and veldt grass areas.
  • Water by hand or by operating a sprinkler system.
  • Keep drainage and storm –water channels free of weeds and debris.

 

KEY COMETENCIES

Knowledge

  • Basic Landscaping maintence
  • Reasonable knowledge of relevant OHS act.
