Overseeing daily operations. Developing and implementing growth strategies. Maintain budgets and optimise expenses Evaluating performance and productivity of staff Researching and identifying growth opportunities. Generating reports and giving presentations. Prepare regular reports for the ARO Board Work closely with Fund Raising team

 

General Manager Requirements: Proven work experience as a General Manager or in a similar role with in Animal Welfare Good knowledge of different business functions. Strong leadership qualities. Excellent communication skills. Highly organised. Strong work ethic.

 

Meticulous attention to detail. Computer literate. Proactive nature. Confident decision maker and problem solver Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations South African ID Reside in Cape Town Must be able to communicate in English and Afrikaans. Good written and verbal communicaHon skills. Matric CerHficate. Valid driver ’s license. Own transport. Computer literate in MS Office and database administraHon

A Cape Town based Animal Rescue Organisation are looking to appoint a General Manager. They are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven general manager to direct and manage the organisation's business activities, develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. To promote the mission of Animal Rescue Organisation together with the Management Board and in conjunction with the veterinary staff to enhance the wellbeing of all animals through primary veterinary health care and educational programmes. This person must have a passion for and history of working with animals or animal welfare organisations.
