Our Client, a big player within the IT industry offers support services

to a numbers of businesses within banking, public and retail space. They are

looking for highly versatile and competent professional to manage the

efficiency and effectiveness their financial controls.


Duties &



Monitor cash flows and liquidity risk and

provide backup and support to the Accounts Manager on matters relating to

payments and banking control.


Monitor debt collection and credit risk and

provide backup and support to the Accounts Manager on matters relating to

debtors control


Monitor payments to creditors and creditors

balances and provide backup and support to the accounts manager on matters

related to creditors control


Assist the company in achieving its financial

objectives by: undertaking financial and cash-flow planning, advising on

best-practice, with the support of Exco and preparing annual budgets or any

other bespoke budgets and schedules suitable for analyses



responsibility for financial reporting including:


Preparation and presentation of monthly

management accounts to Exco


Provide backup and support to the accounts

manager on maintaining accuracy, validity, and completeness of accounting

records in QuickBooks, with special reference to the processing of journals,

accruals, provisions, etc.


Manage the financial year-end closeout and

preparation of the annual audit / review / compilation file and act as liaison

with the external auditors/reviewers/compilers and tax advisors


Ensure compliance with income tax, VAT, and

employees tax laws and regulations


Ensure that insurance coverage is appropriate


Ensure compliance with other laws and

regulations relevant to financial and corporate governance e.g. Companies Act,

Close Corporations Act, CIPC regulations


Manage performance and organise the team and

their duties in a way that achieves synergy across the department


Review and implement standard operating

processes in line with finance best practices


Monitor staff salary costs per department and

adjust departmental targets as required


Technical skills

and experience required:


Degree in accounting/finance


Previous Financial Management experience in a

similar role essential – 3 to 5 years


Completed articles under a SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA

leadership program essential


International Clients experience is highly



Sound computer skills using Microsoft products


QuickBooks experience an advantage


Experience in leading a finance team
