We have an opportunity for a Procurement Officer: Supply Chain Management to join our Finance team. The procurement officer is responsible for administrative support to the centralized Acquisition Management processes within the organization. These include database administration, vendor registration, and systems administration support.
This role requires administrative functions within supply chain management to promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality management, and organizational support.
The procurement officer must have exceptional communication and writing skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and be customer service driven.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acquisition Management
National and Provincial database administration
Internal database administration
Vendor management
Buying administrative support
Audit administration support
Internal systems support
Compliance Monitoring
Provide quality assurance for procurement of goods/services.
Provide supply chain management support to internal and external stakeholders ensuring compliance to internal Policies and Procedures.
Supplier contracts and Performance Management
Vendor performance in accordance with Contracts Management Framework.
Reporting
Responsible for all internal and external vendor reports
Responsible for all internal and external supplier reports
Responsible for internal system reporting and administration
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience within public sector supply chain management.
Knowledge of public sector procurement practices
Computer literacy
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations
Knowledge of the PPPFA and Regulations
Competencies
Proficient MS office skills to enable correspondence to be actioned on behalf of the team
Able to use spreadsheets confidently and effectively
Ability to handle issues in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner, always maintaining a professional approach, regardless of circumstance
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing, reporting and presentation skills.
Ability to function independently and within a team.
Ability to prioritize and adapt, managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
