CapeNature seeks to appoint a Finance Officer: Payroll who will be responsible for assisting the team with the preparation of the monthly payroll from beginning to end.
Administration and Processing the Payroll including Company benefits, pension, medical aid, Official housing and 13th cash option
Processing of new employees, loading of monthly earnings and deductions and any other changes to employees’ fixed information on the Sage People payroll.
Responsible for all payroll activities involving the calculation and deduction of tax, medical aid, retirement fund contributions etc.
Printing of payslips and emailing of all relevant reports for distribution
Collating of documents for the Auditors
Filing and general office work
Ensure that all payroll queries are dealt with promptly
Management of the Sage People Leave Management
Assist with leave administration where required
Verify and Capturing of FTE Payroll
EPWP Timesheet processing where required
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Payroll Administration
3 Years’ Experience in Payroll Administration
Knowledge and experience of Sage People payroll system essential (accounting/tax background)
Computer literate in MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
Analytical thinking and sound numerical skills
Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Attention to detail
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
To use own initiative, ability to work independently as well as in a team.
