You are a Technology Leader with an extensive background in Software Engineering.

You create teams that collaborate and create scalable solutions. You enjoy mentoring engineers and setting them up for long-term success. You care about the development and growth of your team members and have recruited teams of software engineers in the past.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

You will directly influence Engineering Managers and Engineers as well as collaborate very closely with other disciplines such as Product Management and Design to achieve the direction set by the company OKRs.

You will be the lead of Functional Domains and be fully accountable from a technology and engineering perspective.

You will manage the teams under your portfolio (from planning to hiring and everything in between). Analize, propose, design and implement technological solutions to the challenges presented. Take full accountability for the technical design of the solutions implemented within your teams. Create a culture that has space for innovation and exploration, whilst being an active contributor to the broader technology group.

You will be an active participant in the technology leadership structures and drive learning and sharing across the entire organization.

Where you'll be doing it

With offices in the UK, Africa and Europe, you will be based within 4 hours of the GMT timezone. (EMEA region). You will be based remotely, comfortable working with an international teams of experts.

You will be comfortable with building hiring pipelines, managing budgets and defining OKRs.

Ability to lead and develop not only engineers but managers and managers of managers.

You’ll need a strong engineering background with the ability to translate organisational and product goals into technical strategy, managing both Technology and People.

Great leadership, communication, and project management skills

Working experience with a mature Product Management organisation.

Experience within Fintech, Payments or Financial Services would be advantageous.

Experience Requirements

Proven experience leading large engineering organisations, departments or groups.
You have proven expertise in enhancing productivity and growing software engineering teams.
