YFM is a "Youth" radio station in Johannesburg, South Africa. Established in 1997, the station is formatted to mostly play urban music genres such as Kwaito, Hip Hop, and R&B along with a minority of its airtime being dedicated to talk shows.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director.

 

The purpose of this role is to manage and implement all Digital and Social media strategies for YFM.

Specification

  • Management and development of all web sites, web applications and all social media platforms,
  • Effectively ensuring that all web and social media content aligns with overall digital strategy,
  • Ensure that YFM maintains its market leading position in digital.
  • Drive digital revenue through conceptualising, pitching and executing integrated and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and execute specific strategies for each of the stations digital platforms.
  • Drive innovation together with other relevant stakeholders within the organisation
  • In addition, the digital manager will implement and manage all new digital projects assigned by the MD.
  • Provide insight and execution of all integrated commercial and partner campaigns.
  • Provide analytics as and when required.
  • Manage Digital team and monitor all KPI’s of the team.
  • Have a sound understanding of the urban youth market.
  • Overseeing all administrative functions, which will include, but not limited providing all requested reports, including monthly/quarterly board reports.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and third party platforms e.g App devlopers, Facebook, twitter etc.

Requirements

Education: Relevant qualifications in Digital Marketing and/or Project Management and/or Communication

Language: Business English

Experience: At least 5 years experience in radio broadcast. At least 3 years in a management role. Experience in a media sales environment is beneficial
