Job Description:

 

Our client, within the logistics industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team based in Pietermaritzburg (Umlaas).

 

Job duties

 

• Maintenance & Upkeep of the fleet

 

• Attend to breakdowns.

 

• Standby (attend to call-outs)

 

• Completion of Job-cards Job Requirements

 

• Grade 12

 

• Red seal Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Hydraulic experience

 

• Code 14 Drivers License + Valid PDP – Essential

 

• Must have own reliable transport – Essential.

 

• Minimum 3-5 Years’ experience in a workshop environment

 

• Experience in Electrical repairs & Fault Finding.

 

• High quality standards

 

• High safety standards

 

• Have good housekeeping principles.

 

• Must be available to work shifts and extended hours including weekends.

 

• Must be able to work in a pressurised environment.

 

• Proactive towards preventative maintenance

 

• Computer literate
