Description
Data Development Manager, reporting to the Head of Data. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and creating all underlying data assets in Life Healthcare’s data ecosystem.
Critical Outputs
Manage the data development team, consisting of engineers, business analysts, quality analysts and systems analysts, responsible for developing existing and new LHC data assets to facilitate reporting, analytics and delivery of business strategy
Review data architecture and technology stack regularly, making proposals for adaptation as warranted
Work closely with Data Operations Manager, who is responsible for managing existing data assets
Understand the needs of users, in particular the Analytics team, to ensure that data infrastructure supports optimally their reporting and analysis needs
Work closely with the Head: Product Owner and Project Management, who is responsible for liaison between business and the Data and Analytics team
Drive the creation of expandable and extensible data assets with significant positive payoffs for analysis and reporting
Manage additions and extensions to the data warehouse
Ensure compliance with data governance standards.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent field, or other equivalent qualifications.
5+ years experience in data management, with 1+ years in a management capacity
Extensive experience in all aspects of the ETL process
Experience in dealing with large unstructured datasets
Advanced SQL and TSQL expertise
Project management and organisational skills
3+ years experience in SSIS, SSAS and SSRS development
2+ years experience in cloud-based data environments, with expertise in MS Azure a strong recommendation
Proven expertise in data architecture (design, development and/or management)
Healthcare experience, in particular in a hospital environment, would also be an advantage
