A company based in Durban central is looking for an energetic individual who has a solid understanding of basic accounting and  Accounts payable ( Creditors) for a large portfolio for properties.

Duties :

-Daily capturing  of creditors for property companies -Ensuring invoices have the Necessary supporting documents attached -Ensuring all invoices are a valid tax invoice prior to payment -Uploading of payments to bank -Monthly creditors reconciliation for +/- 16 property Companies and a must to list reconciling items -Manage and resolve Supplier queries, Liaising with suppliers to get invoices / delivery note and supporting documents -Phoning municipality to request for monthly utilities  and going in to the municipality if need be for transfer of property and register meters  -Balancing the utility bills to the Recovery from tenants ensuring 100 % recovery -Ensuring all invoices are a valid tax  and copies given for the VAT period -Development Site - Monthly schedules to tie up to TB and ensuring all documents are correctly received from site -Schedule for fuel calculations prior to releasing of payment -Various monthly schedules to be prepared and reconciled and presented with creditors payment -Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills-Inter company loans to reconcile and inter accounts -Daily filing as files are audited monthly -Assisting with annual financial statement and to get supporting documents

Criteria

 

-Ensuring Deadlines are met and  strictly Adhered to and payments are done timeously

-3 years minimum experience in an Accounts Payable / Creditors Clerk position

-Must be able to work with Excel Spreadsheets (exporting data, filtering etc)

-Must have strong communication and reconciling skills,

-Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

-Adhoc work from the Financial Manager

-Relevant qualification advantageous

-Previous work experience in the property sector is advantage
