A vacancy exists for Corporate Services Manager, based at Life Head Office, reporting to the Group Company Sceretary. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key Corporate accountabilities at Life Healthcare and its subsidiary companies in South Africa.


Critical Outputs

The key performance areas for this role include company secretarial duties relating to SA domiciled subsidiaries. The main responsibilities include:


Lead and manage the corporate services' portfolio providing guidance to all team members

Attend to SA Executive governance structures and the sub-committees in terms of the applicable policies, charters and frameworks

Retention of company records and data as prescribed in the appropriate policies adopted by the company and the applicable legislative and good governance prescripts

Ensure that regulatory reports meet quality standards and to challenge poor risk management and non-compliance within the organization

Governance of local trusts, e.g. LTIP, ESP etc. and entities




University degree in relevant field is essential

A post graduate qualification is preferred

Post Graduate qualification in a Company Secretarial or legal qualification will be an added advantage

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate Services, or closely related role

Strong knowledge of Companies Act and Governance, including King III & King IV

Experience in Share scheme administration

Knowledge of various health care stakeholders

Experience with writing and delivering content

Ability to predict potential risks and results of any public action from any angle

Strong professional presence

Proficiency in MS Office (word, power point and excel)

Ability to organize, coordinate, direct, demonstrate judgement, diplomacy and initiative
