Minimum Requirements

Qualification:

 

• Grade 12 or N3 with Maths and Science plus NQF level 5 National Diploma in Power Plant Process Control Operations

or

• NQF 6 Occupational Certificate Fossil Power Plant Process Controller

 

Related Minimum Experience

 

• 2 years as a Plant Operator and 2 years as a Snr Power Plant Operator Units (4 Years)

• Knowledge (Power plant controller, fossil fuel fired regulations: authorisation)

Key Responsibilities

 

• Operate plant under normal and emergency conditions
• Monitor unit process
• Maintain correct unit conditions during startups, controlled shutdowns & normal operations
• Control plant defects notifications
• Perform administrative activities
• Assist with development of staff
• Perform any other legitimate activities
