The University of Cape Town invites applications for 2 posts in the above permanent 5/8ths positions in the Division of Physiotherapy, Department of Health & Rehabilitaton Sciences which are available with immediate effect.

The successful candidates will be expected to assist with clinical education of undergraduate students in the clinical area of general hospitals (acute surgical, medical, orthopaedics, CPR settings) or rehabilitation and wellness (care of the elderly, rehabilitation across the lifespan), in the Division of Physiotherapy, Department of Health and Rehabilitation

Sciences.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the HPCSA
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience post-community service
  • Experience with clinical supervision of students
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advantages:

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical supervision of undergraduate students
  • Development of clinical sites for optimal student learning, and inter-disciplinary collaboration
  • Scholarship to encourage evidence-based practice
  • Development of appropriate clinical teaching material
  • Administrative and management duties at divisional and departmental levels
  • Clinical service responsibilities to maintain and develop practice learning sites
  • Travel to clinical sites for student supervision

The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R439 914.
