Anvil Property Smith (Pty) Ltd is looking to acquire the employment of an experienced debtors and creditors clerk with additional bookkeeping to trial balance experience.

A Strong focus would be placed on the individual's ability to convert outstanding debt through their relationships built with stakeholders within the industry and be able to show their ability to collect debtors within 30 days.

This person would be required to have a people orientated personality and would have a self sustainable and target driven work ethic.

 

Key Responsibilities:

** Calculation of commissions and issuing of invoices of clients

** Tracking of broker commissions and expenses and reconciliation of net payout to broker

** Issuing of monthly debtors statements, effective and timeous collection of monthly debtors

** Identification of problematic accounts and pursuing the collection of the debt.

** Building key relationships with brokers and landlords.

** Ensuring legal compliance with the FICA Act on all of the deals concluded

** Implementing sound controls and procedures to mitigate the risk of debtors days going over terms.

** Manage the procurement cycle of the business including obtaining quotes and invoices, recording of expenses and capturing of payments

** Bookkeeping responsibilities to capture all customer invoices, brokers commissions and expenses

Job Requirements:

** Have an accounting tertiary qualification or similar to the requirements of the position

** Have 2 years verifiable experience in debt collection

** Proven track record of consistently meeting targets and deadlines

** Be able to work on own and take responsibility of work requirements

** Report on a weekly basis to management on the broker cycle, debt collection process and procurement cycle and timeline

** High level of skills and experience in using Microsoft Office

** Skills and experience in using Quickbooks Online will be beneficial.

** Ability to process entries on general ledger level

** Sound numerical and reconciliation skills

** Knowledge and understanding of the FICA Act and the implementation thereof.

** Strong personality with a positive attitude

** Ability to work under pressure and being organised

** Ability to work overtime where and when needed to conclude any outstanding work requirements.

** Fluent in English (speak, read, write) and Afrikaans (would be beneficial)
